Here is yet another crime post relating to the city of Nottingham.

Some decades ago, Nottingham is infamously known as both the crime capital of Britain and also its gun capital. There were numbers of knife cimes recorded in Nott. A victim Jaden Moodie a 14 years old boy was stabbed to death in Leyton on Tuesday January 8.

It was believed by detectives that a car collided with Jaden and five males were in the car, three of these males got out of the car and stabbed Jaden to death, on Wednesday January 9, a black Mercedes B class vehicle was found in the carlisle road area which was removed by police detectives for a thorough investigation.   Report has it that Jaden was a happy young lad with a huge heart, whose hope and dreams was to be a professional bike racer.  Jaden had attended Redhill Academy in Arnold before he moved with his mother to London few months ago,

The 14 years old boy’s mother plans to organize a memorial event in Arnold to wish her son a final goodbye. Detectives are appealing to the public who might have seen the black vehicle in the area to send some information without delay, as they are Striving harder to get the root of Jaden’s murder.

Some other knife crimes are Jennifer Cardy whose body was found in a neighboring country Antrim in August 1981, and a five years old girl Caroline Hogg whose body was found in Leicestershire July 1983.

Some of these crimes were solved while some remain unsolved largely due to the time and era it took place. This is because with advanced DNA techniques and the wide CCTV coverage in our time it is becoming rare for serious crimes to go unsolved for long.
